WOW looks like I should have gotten tires back when I posted this thread.... but we were heavily debating on getting a new trailer. Anyways I lost a tire last Sunday on the way home. I have to say the Marathon tires have held up great and have been well used.
Facts right now,
06 Build date on the Marathon.
Weight on the tires as I stopped at the scales on the way home.
I would say 2/3 full of fresh water. 23-30 gallons, in rear of trailer.
2 days for 2 people of Black water and shower-sink
Maybe 60 gallons total.
Front Driver Front Passenger
2120 2200
Rear Rear
1840 2300
So heaviest tire is 2300 lbs.
Seems my rims white spokes are 2600lbs rated. but they do have a little bit of rust starting.
Not sure how long I will have this trailer but, has anyone had a change in views on tires? Local Goodyear is offering $650 for a set of 5 marathon tires. Looks like they are rated for 2540 lbs At 65MPH. Speed wise I think 70 would be nicer. But 200 lbs doesn't seem like much extra.
Might do what jaycocamprs did up a few posts. LT235/85R16/E BFG
Ideas? buying something this week... even if my job is ending sooner then latter :(

If I understand your scale results there was a difference of 460 lbs between right and left on the same trailer axle?
I was wondering the same thing:?
