Triligy and Lifestyle owners

Just retired after 33 yrs as peace office. We are in the market to trade our 2007 Cameo to a newer style to meet our need as full-timers. Looking for input from Trilogy and Lifestyle owners, the good, the bad and the ugly about it, issues encountered ect. We have seen both and we were impress. Tks to all your input. Norm

I replaced my 2005 Cameo with a 2013 Lifestyle 37RESL. I did get the 8K axles and disc brakes. Don't know what your tow vehicle is but my 08 Ford needed a new controller for the brakes. The newer Ford OE controllers can work with both the electric or hydraulic brakes.

My only problems have been an inoperable black tank flush and the 12 cu ft fridge. First the freezer doors weren't adjusted right, the thermistor was bad and now I have to replace the propane line as it crimps right where it exits the fiver body to the scissor arm so there is no propane while the slide is in. I'm also not sure an unprotected rubber gas line deep within the fiver body is a good idea. The residential fridge is now an option and I would get it.

We looked at the Mobile Suites but didn't like the fact that the fridge or bathroom were not accessible with the slides in.

FYI the gas line problem is a common one. Lifestyle fix is a longer hose. Under warranty.

The access in the MS depends on the model. We can't access the toilet or bedroom but we can reach the sink and the frig is easy to get to. The toilet to us is not a big deal.

    Nice to have choices.

Tks for everyone input. We are on our 3rd 5wheel. We are please with our carriage, we want to upgrade since we are going full timers. We like the 37RESL from Lifestyle. It has what we are looking for. However, then Trilogy 3850 and the Mobile Suite 39RESB3 is other options we are condering.

Not because I have a Mobile Suites but the trilogy is not in the same leave as MS. Compare the frames also the Trilogy is 8' wide and the MS is 8' 6". If the Lifestyle units are the same as Carriage then they would probably be good also.

I have looked at the Trilogy's and was not impressed. You may want to look for a nice used CarriLite.

  • We have had our Lifestyle 37IK for one year now we spent 4 months in it this winter and small trips in it in the summer. We are very happy with it and have had no major problems

  • Try checking out Heartland Landmark or Bighorn models. Excellent quality uints, great floor plans, with terrific dealer/factory support. I do NOT work for Heartland. Just relaying my personal experiences. Welcome to RV.net and your new lifestyle.

  • I bought a Cameo just a few months befor Carriage went under . Made me sick as the Cameo is first quality unit Ive really ever owned. I was excited when I heard about Lifestyle. My Cameo dealer is now selling Lifestyle. Ive been in several and very impressed. What I can tell is the Lifestyle is a Cameo improved plus goodfeatures from Carrie lite. If I was in the market this is the unit I would buy. Sorry I cannot discuss the other unit.
  • We went from a Titanium to a 37IK Lifestyle. If you decide on the Lifestyle be sure to go with the 8k axles & disc brake option. They are a heavy trailer, I wish I had gone that route.
Overall we are happy with the trailer. We are on our first extended trip with no problems so far.
