That was a different group. There were just three of us.
We couldn't figure out why they camped so close to the tracks like that. They literally camped right in the road. We had to drive around them a couple times. Weird.
So we saw a camp kind of up in the hills closer to Ridgecrest that was cordoned off with a cable boundary and a BLM sign that said "Prospectors Camp". It didn't make sense to me, because I always thought Prospectors was where we camped near the Searles / RR crossing and Dirt Diggers was further north off 395. That's what confused me about the names.
We've always just called this spot "The Rally Site" because that's where we used to have the big rallies until the BLM shut us down.
Everyplace has a weird name with our group. I sent you a pin to "The Bar", because there's a BBQ and a bar-top built into the rocks just outside of camp. It's a great spot, especially if you let your dogs run free. The dogs won't bother anyone up there.
