We used to use a tri-pod WHEN we were able to. Often times, it was not able to be used due to pad length and/or terrain. It did help the movement in the front but not the rear at all.
I have it for sale now on clist as I no longer need it. Our rig is equipped with the Big Foot auto level and we just finished installing the SteadyFast stabilzer system and all I can say is its GREAT!
I suggest you check into it as it will eliminate storage issues, its is easy to use, it can always be used, and it works. Phillip
