Tripod brace for 5th wheel...really necessary?

I used a tripod and found it effective but now use a Winfield Stablizer. and it removes all sideways movement from the front of the trailer. Haven't installed rear ones yet.

Installs very quickly using only a couple of wrenches.

Winfield, JT Srongarm and Steadyfast all do the same thing. Comes down to which kind will work best with the type of jacks you have and personal preference.
