I'm camping and my camper has a 30 amp feed and on this trip it seems I'm going out every couple of minutes. I know what causes the breaker to flip but it's not like I'm running everything in the camper. The last time it went just the ac, fridge and hot water was on and whatever else stays on.Should I be worried? Can I upgrade to a 50 amp feed?

You shouldn't have an issue with just those items on, as long as it is just one A/C and not two. Has it worked well at other campgrounds? If so, it may be the campsite power that has an issue. Our 5er has 50 amp, but most campgrounds we've been to only have 30amp service, and that has worked well for us with the one A/C, frig and a bunch of other stuff going on.

Only have one ac. Early today the tv and Xbox was running with the other stuff. I might trip a breaker once a trip, but only at the older campgrounds.

Switch your hot water to gas and see if that helps.

I would turn off the water heater.The cycling of the AC unit can overload the breaker during startup.Converting to 50 amp would be costly.If it is the pedestal breaker tripping, I would use a 50-3o amp adapter.

Is it a GFI outlet at the post? It could be that the GFI circuit is tripping the breaker.

Turn the hot water heater to propane to solve your problem at that campground.

Put the refer and the hot water on propane. The hot water heater can draw 8-12 amps, refer 6, Air conditioner easily 12-17. If the power post is in the sun it will trip at less than 30 amps.

Something might be wrong somewhere. I don't trip a breaker once a SEASON. Tripping more often than that has got to be more than bad luck. Can you use an ammeter to determine the actual current draw of your normal load?
