I have the TrailAir pin box on my rig. I found that if I take too much weight off with the landing gear, it is hard to release. Discovered it was due to the arc made at the pin as the TrailAir drops down as the weight is released. Now, I lower the landing gear enough to just begin to take the weigh off the truck, release the hitch, then use the landing gear to finish taking the load off the truck. Of course, chocks are used to keep the trailer where it is spotted.
