2016 open range 27rls slide troubles

I'm hoping someone here may have some insight on how to manually operate the slide on the door side of this unit. I am trying to help a friend out and am not familiar with this set up. From what I understand he says the motor at the top runs but he thinks maybe a "clutch" is not engaging this not operating the slide. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
