- Second_ChanceExplorer III installed one that doesn't come up above the bed rails so there's no chance of anything hitting. I know the "T" style boxes with wing doors are nice - and often sit above the bed so you can slide in a full sheet of plywood, but our truck only gets used for towing, so those were my priorities.
Rob - 1Adam12ExplorerDon't do what I did, which was purchasing a box that sits on the rails without testing to determine if you'll be able to see over the box while backing up to connect to 5er. My view was blocked and I had to make changes.
- reppoc12ExplorerYou may want to consider the size of the fuel tank. We added a 90 gallon vertical transfer tank with a gravity feed kit. It does not interfere with the toy hauler at all. We also keep a smaller removable box that sits below the rails in front of it.
RDS 90 Gallon tank - stickdogExplorerI can just see the hitch in the rear view mirror so I got an under the bed rail box. Our truck is just for towing.
- garyp4951Explorer IIIUnder the rail looks cleaner, but you do loose some floor room. UWS makes some good boxes.
- DReisingerExplorerThanks, 1Adam12, was going to buy one, never thought of it blocking my view

A camera can solve that.
Thanks, 1Adam12, was going to buy one, never thought of it blocking my view - CdaddyExplorerThanks for all the advice. Under rails it is
- Cummins12V98Explorer IIIThis is NOT cheap but very nice! 30" front to back. Never exceed the top of bed height.
Highly advise the hitch also. - rhagfoExplorer IIIWe have a below the rails tool box, and a roll up Tonneau cover for when not towing.
