I've been a member here for quite a while and it love to read these type of threads. I always imagine one mechanic trying to convince another mechanic that a socket set is more efficient than a pair of channel locks
"Why do you still use channel locks to take apart a engine instead of sockets?"
" I guess it works, fits easily in my coveralls, fits metric or standard bolts, and cost less than a set of sockets"
" if you use sockets you could work faster, cause less damage to the bolts, and be a lot safer on those really frozen nuts you have to break loose"
" kids today are too soft, you have to have a tool for everything. Your tool box is bigger than my first apartment and cost more than my first house. Oh, on those really frozen nuts, I use my vise grips. "Damn! You got a band aid in that shiny red box"
"You know, using the right tool would..........WOW that's deep! I think you need stitches."
"Forget the band aid, just hand me the duct tape son."
There is a reason they make a dual wheel truck and a single wheel truck and it's up to the individual to decide which tool is right for them
