Truck Spray-In Bed Liner Chipped out?

The sprayed in bed liner on my truck has about a one square inch chip in it. Have any of you had this problem? If so, did you repair/patch it yourself? If so what material did you use and was the patch process fairly simple to do? Did your fix last?

Don’t want to go to spray–in liner dealer to get it fixed.

  • I had a couple of areas chipped out on my lineX. I just picked up a quart can of Duplicolor bedliner and brushed it over the areas. I put a couple of coats on and all has been well for 3 years now.
  • If nothing else...a lot of places sell cans of spray bed liner for about 10 bucks. I used some of this on an in-bed tool box. Just clean it real good and mask off what you don't wan sprayed......looks good and so far ...no problems.
  • I bought a 05 Ford and told dealer I would pick up after it wass sprayed with Rhino Liner. They sprayed another brand. Didnt take it long to chip. My salesman got me some help but I was stuck. Ive used Rhino Liner since 01. At that time I was farming and truck was used to haul everything. It did not chip.
  • Not sure, had an upfitter (Classy Chassis) spray it in when we customized the truck. Looks a lot like the standard type spray in liners (Rino or Lynics, spelling).
  • If it is Rhino Liner they will patch it, they have patched mine twice. :)
  • How long has it been in the truck? Most spray in liners have a good long warrenty and it probably could be repaired by them for free.
