We were told to keep our pleated window day/night shades UP because otherwise they would "lose their pleats? Is this true??????? We are concerned about keeping their UP as it could fade furniture and wood.
What do YOU do?
I wish I'd put something in the windows, behind the shades. Even with the shades down, we have severe fading of wallpaper, fabric, wood and linoleum. Also, the shade tie-downs are plastic and most have broken, causing the strings to come loose. When that happens, you can no longer put the shades up. Just a totally dumb thing to do.

Used to be that you could go to WM and buy steel sewing machine bobbins. I did that on a couple of 5vers. The metal bobbins don't break like the plastic ones.
Just another 'roundtuit that the 11 miles to the storage site puts a crimp on. That, and a job, and a daughter getting married in April, honey-dos... :-)
