I think if you will look up inside the cornice board you will find they are held on by L shaped brackets. You can get a long (18 inch or so) screwdriver at Harbor Freight to get them off. That is what I had to do to fix our day/night shades several times.

I agree, there will be L brackets on the sides and top. Then in the upper inside corners there will be a single screw holding the side cover to the top cover. With fabric covers removed, the shade can then be removed. Had to do this earlier in the year to restring several shades.
