I have 18 years experience driving a semi's and when I bought my trailer I went for the 5'r. Putting the weight up over the axle is where it belongs.
Coming through Akron the other week the weather went to heck in a hurry. Tornado Warnings on the radio etc.....Wind literally blew one of those 8'x10' exit signs into the right lane. The 5'r behaved better than any semi I ever drove and I was impressed. I expected much more trouble from the weather.
It's your money but if you plan to travel, the 5'r is the way to go.
