TT vs. 5th wheel: ease of towing
I've been towing TT's for years. Tired of doing all the towing. I want my wife to help out on long hauls but she is not at all comfortable getting behind the wheel (see my rig in my "signature" below)...

I've towed my buddie's TT, and I don't think its any easier or harder than my 5er (both about same length). I've asked my DW what she'd do if I had the "big one" while we're on the road; she'd hire someone to drive it home!!
I have no expectation that there is anything I could ever do that would get her to tow the 5er. I think you're going to stay in that same spot with me. All the advise on changing time on the road and slowing down is probably where you need to look.
