Well I'm supposed to pick up a new to me older 5er tomorrow so I can't give you a comparison on TT vs 5er ease of towing but I did used to own a 28' TT with a weight dist hitch setup with antisway and one thing I didn't care about the TT was the hooking unhooking steps. We usually camped with friends with 5ers and they unhooked and leveled their fivers in a fraction of the time I would because of tinkering with the weight hitch/ stabilizer jacks etc. They usually setup then went to help me. I used to find the setup and rehooking to be quite annoying. I'm sure that won't matter much if you're staying for extended periods but we're weekend warriors so ease of hooking and unhooking meant a lot to me. I think the 5er even saves you a step on the leveling especially when you're dry camping in undevolped spots. When I had my TT I was in my late 30's. I couldn't imagine being older and having to fight with those darn weight dist components. If you miss a step with those darn things the tension could send you to the er. LOL
