My 1st 5er to pull with my F250 4x4 was a Prowler that kissed bed rails more than once despite best efforts to avoid extreme unlevel situations. I tried raising the hitch and experienced unsatisfactory towing. Tried lowering pin box which required lowering hitch and then pin box would hit rails in sharp turn. I believe a goose conversion will make no difference. All told I never had any real trouble in 5 years I owned it. Traded it on a HitchHiker II figuring there would be no difference in clearance. To my suprise, there is more than 3 times as much clearance.
I suggest measuring rail height on level ground while hitched to a 5er near the pin weight you want to buy. Take your tape while shopping and measure ground to trailer (most dealers have trailer level while on display) and subtract rail height to see how much clearance will be.
