My current Goodyears (LT 235/85R16 G Rated) are 6 years old. They look great and are always parked under my RV carport in the shade and on asphalt when not in use. Based on what I've read here they should be replaced due to age. Is that true even if not in the sun?
Secondly, the Goodyears are now nearly $400 each. I just had Hancook 19.%" tires put on my 450. Has anyone had any experience with them on a heavy Fiver? My HitchHiker weighs 16K. Thanks folks.
While UV is a factor in tire degradation, ozone is also a big, big factor. I'd change 'em, if I were you.
