Two water heater switches?

I guess I should've paid a little more attention during my delivery walk through....

2013 Heartland Prowler 30 TBS. One shower, bathroom sink, kitchen sink, outdoor shower, and outdoor sink (in the outdoor kitchen).

Why do I have two water heater switches?

Thanks

  • The switch on next to the pump and test switch is most likely going to the holding tank heaters the light switch will be the actual water heater switch.
  • The light switch type switch should be for AC electric water heating. There may also a black rocker switch outside in the lower left corner of the water heater behind the cover, which also has to be on. The other switch looks maybe like it is the propane water heater switch or the tank heaters! Chris

My fifth wheel has two switches also. One to run the water heater on propane, the other to run it on electric. Sometimes if I want hot water faster when I'm camping I turn both electric and propane on at the same time. Hope this helps some.

  • I think the one on the left is a "test" switch to see if power is turned on to your heater. The one on the right is labeled water heater. I suspect that switch turns your water heater on to 120 V electric. Check your owner manual to be sure. Good luck.
