UltraLight 5th Wheel recommendation
I am looking to purchase a new Ultralight 5th wheel. I have been looking at JAYCO Eagle HT 26.5RLS and the Cougar Lite 26SAB. They are very similar in floor plans but differ greatly in construction....

Wow...I'm floored that anyone would want to pull a 5'er with an F150, or a Sierra 1500 or Dodge 1500....
I had a hell of time finding a 5'er that I could safely pull with my 2500 HD diesel. I finally found a 30' Chaparall that was 8045 dry with a pin weight loaded of ~ 1500-1800 lbs....and i'm still over. My truck is 9200 GVWR. I added a road master Active suspension to it and so far so good...but an F150.???

You may want to look at Weights:
GVWR of your truck.
So the weight of everything in your truck incl passengers and their stuff + pin weight. And you will want 15-20% of the 5th wheels weight on the pin...loading it heavy in the rear to transfer/save pin weight is a recipe for disaster.
Anyway..I do see weights coming down...not sure if that is a good thing or not. In heavy cross winds..likely NOT. However I would be very curious to see the 5th wheel you can SAFELY / Legally tow with an F-150 after that calculation.

I too would recommend a TT with a max of 6000 lbs - Seems to me you'll get way more trailer for your money.
