Unhook to level

You can autolevel connected to the truck. I have a 3950 and do it every day while traveling. The only time I disconnect is if the spot is not big enough for the whole rig or I need to go somewhere after I am parked.
There is a learning curve with the system and you will learn with each setup. On occasion I have had to use manual mode, but I have not figured out how to get the center jacks down in this mode.
My last trip was three weeks long and I moved every day except 2 and those 2 stops are the only time I disconnected from the truck.

Part of the price you pay for automation, in this case you need remove the weight from the hitch (your truck) for it to work.

the auto level has to throw itself off level in order to find level. i know seems strange but that is how it works. you can always use the system in manual and level that way too though, that is what i do when i wanna get level without unhooking.

but yes that is correct you cannot auto level without unhooking
