However you decide to do it, try it out at home first. Make sure the jack you decide to use will fit under the jacking point, whichever one you decide on, if the tire is flat. Don't wait until you're on the side of the road to discover that your jack is too tall, or some other sticking point occurs.
With any kind of luck maybe you'll never have to find out how to change a flat tire along the road side. :)
