Atwood Electric Jacks - Replacement Electronics

Our 2002 Lance 811 has the Atwood electric jacks with wireless remote control. The guy that I got the camper from said the jacks stopped working and he couldn't figure out why. I was able to find out that the Atwood controller modules were very well made and were prone to unrepairable failure.

As you know, Atwood was bought by Rieco-Titan, who was bought by Lippert, and they stopped making the Atwood jacks. Rieco-Titan makes a compatible controller, but it's very $$$.

So I stumbled across this on Amazon made by Gama Electronics. Note the updated design with each jack circuit protected by a 30a fuse. Also totally sealed and 100% waterproof, which is a good thing since it mounts under the sink LOL.

Gama also makes this remote control:

and this activation switch:

I bought all 3 and installed them last weekend. Now every jack works as it should, independently and as a set. I know there are a zillion campers with these jacks installed, so if anybody is looking for reasonably priced electronics, these are worth the $$.
  • X2 on Gamma. I bought my replacement Remote from them a few years back. My jacks have worked flawlessly since then.
  • I’m glad to hear a good review of Gama from someone who’s bought their product. I’ve had a bookmark to their site for several years now, just in case I need them.

I *think* Gama was who manufactured the electronic parts for Atwood all along.

Thanks for posting your experience with them.

  • I like the "Made in the U S A " aspect. After just having a minor glitch with my jacks, I also will be keeping this info also, thanks.
  • Googling around looking for info I was reading a lot of "SOL" posts on Atwood jacks, so I figured not many folks knew about these Gama guys, so thought I would share.

Looks like they use the same molds for sure. Here is set I removed from 2002 camper.
I see "Song Chuan" brand on the relay. Doesn't sound American.

  • Thanks for the information. I may just go ahead and order a replacement remote as the bottoms on ours are getting some age on them.
Does the remote have to be programmed or does it just work once the batteries are installed ?

The remote works right out of the box. no programming needed
