Vengeance 5th Wheel

I am at the local RV show and looking at a twin axle Vengeance 5th Wheel toy hauler, with slide outs and separate garage. (12k lb dry)

The designer is there and he believes that my 04 2500 Duramax would be an adequate tow vehicle.

I think it's within limits (the truck is rated 15k for 5th wheel) but would it be comfortable?

I know several here are running 3/4 ton trucks with larger trailers than my WW Super Light 5th wheel.

  • I suppose I should've posted this in the TVs board rather that THs?
  • 12K dry? Yea right. Towing is not the issue. Load carrying capacity though sure is. Depending on truck configuration the real world payload can be as low as 1800 pounds. That fivers real world pin weight could be more than double that number.
  • That's going to be a stretch for sure but heck your at the show see what you can get a new Truck for as well. Make it a package deal :-)
