Very light toy haulers

Hi, I am searching for a rig for my family of 3 to take to the offroad enduro races on the weekends. My problem is however, that my tow vehicle is a Honda Ridgeline. I have been looking at the Livin' Light VRV 6x15 which seems to be the only toy hauler that's GVWR is under 5,000 pounds. Am I missing any other rigs? I checked the Jayco super lite and even it was around 7k pounds.

It would be whatever you put in it. Its rated to hold that much as a total package. Once you put in water, clothing, food, coolers, ATVs, etc., then you make sure you don't exceed a total camper weight of 4400 lbs.

But it looks like it only weighs 2700 lbs. so you should be fine.

  • Sorry but I looked at the Ridgeline as a tow vehicle for a TT and found that it's all but totally worthless unless you pull a small tent camper. Someone does make a pop-up that has a tongue area where you might fit a quad.
  • Remember the GVWR is what the camper is rated to haul (camper and everything in it). Not what the camper weighs.

Look at the "UVW". That should give you an idea of what the camper weighs with nothing loaded up in it. Then estimate what all you'll be carrying and combine those weights.

Google "pop-up toy haulers". Does that interest you?
