I know this type of questions is asked all the time...We are trying to finalize a decision on a new unit between the Voltage and the Cyclone. Narrowed it down to these two units based on the floor plan - the one we feel gives us the most usable room and virtually identical in both units.Both units are 2014 models and similarly equipped including auto leveling system, rear awning, 12’ Fridge, TrailAir Pin Box, etc.. There are few small feature differences like keyless entry, outside TV equipped, etc., with the only significant difference is 3rd AC unit on Voltage. But we like the 3 season door, larger couch and two side awning system on the Cyclone.Anyone own one or the other than can share likes or dislikes?Anyone doing a similar comparison?In the past there I have read about quality issues with the 2011/2012 Voltage models, though nothing on the newer ones so thinking they have corrected them on the newer models. I have not found much negative criticism on the Cyclone. Beigest one I think I have read is heating / cooling challenges in the garage area.Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Personally, I don't like the bed going out in the slide. Too many problems with temperature control at the pillow end of the bed.We got rid of our Voltage couch - incredibly uncomfortable. Are you sure that bigger couch in the Cyclone is comfortable?

As a present Cyclone owner of two years, I'd HIGHLY recommend the Voltage. Our Cyclone is well documented on this forum site as a poorly performing camper. Its been many, many failures after another and dealing with the manufacturer has felt like a slap in the face.On the technical side, that third AC would be sweet. Our Cyclone takes forever to cool down the living areas with two ACs. We rarely even try to cool down the garage area unless its at night. Then we have to set up a fan in the living room blowing cool air into the garage.

i was looking at the cyclone 3800, the forrest river 380 amp, and the last minute the voltage 3895. i didn't care for the shower in the cyclone (i'm 6'4" and the shower is small like my old trailer and hated it. the 380 amp was on top of the list and i probably would have still purchased but i wanted 3 ac units and the bigger fridge. the nice side of it was the hydraulic slides and lower tv in living room.the night i was about to sign the contract for a 380 amp. my wife and i sat at the computer and went through all the major companies and found the voltage 3895. ours has the epic ii package with hydraulicleveling, big refrigerator, roomier front bedroom, big shower and 3 ac units. the bad side was the electric slides. also the bad reviews made us nervous but we went for it and we only used it for 3 nights but i must say its great. there is some stuff that needs attention but over all im very happy with it.good luck with your choice.

Our 3800 has performed well and the large couch is a great feature, so much better that the dinette options. It is comfortable for us and I am 6'. Garage is tough to heat/cool and does require help but an electric heater or small fan takes care of that for us. 3rd AC would be nice but def not gonna use it if your at cg's with 30A service a lot. Isn't it great to have choices.

Ask for Chad Lankford - super good guy, knowledgeable about the product and will treat you right. He has patiently worked with us since August of last year...we don’t make fast decisions...never once blew us off or conversely hounded after us and put with countless questions...

Ability to do side by side comparison was invaluable. Can't imagine how much longer it would take if we have to travel to different locations and then try and remember the specifics of each in-between.

I do want to re-state we really like the Cyclone and I think it is one hell of a unit bang for the buck. Features are comparable. If we were not able to make the deal we did on the Voltage we would be buying the Cyclone and be very satisfied. Now we will just be more satisfied...

After looking at Voltage haulers in the Charlotte area, I'm going to guess Camping World in Statesville or Hendersonville, NC. But that's just guessing.

Not really knocking the Cyclone because I do think it is a good coach on the front end, I think the Voltage has better long term potential.
Just to review in case helpful to others searching similar. I also did a little comparison to the Fuzion as the dealer I purchased from is also a Fuzion dealer.

The three season doors are not that sturdy - between my son n me I can see one of us breaking something pretty easily. If we decide we really need them, Voltage now has them available....
While the bigger L shaped couch is nice, it was not even mildy comparable to the Voltae. Voltage changed to residential type commercial furniture - the Cyclone furniture is built in the factory along with the rest of the coach - No comparison.
Overall fit n finish of the coach.
Full door frames rather than open tops.
Entertainment center - look n feel n finish. 50" TV...
7k axles / 19k GVWR on Voltage - we would have been over loaded on the Cyclone after bikes, tools n parts before we ever got to food, cloths n other supplies...
Several of the items that 2010 - 2012 voltage owners had issues with have been addressed / corrected;
In addition to third slide guide on all slides, they increased the size of the slide moters on the 2014 models.
They put a 12v radio system in - someone said earlier models only had 110v sound systems
Outside stereo controls
Main living area floor flexed under my footsteps on Cyclone - nothing on Voltage
Additional room in master bedroom was so much easier to navigate with
Thermostat with 3 seperate controlled zones - 3rd A/C unit - after so many comments about heating / cooling issues with Cyclone...
Don't need 88* nose / turning radius - I have a long bed F350 - that impacted inside area of bedroom on Cyclone
Larger shower enclosure
Double grey n black tanks and 160 gal fresh water
Outside water n sewage service center / controls

I could go on, though I think I am really starting to sound a little partial... :)

I am sure there will be a few issues that come up - this is my third toy hauler and these things are not perfect...
I have a high level of confidence in the dealer we chose, and now in the coach we chose so am comfortable we will work though any issues that arise. I am going to do the warranty plan even through I normally do not do extend warranties - with things like the hydrolic leveling, slide outs, 4 TV's, rear mechanical bunks, etc, I think it is worth the cost of $1,400 for 6 years

Two questions.
1. If you don't mind, where'd you purchase from? I know of no dealer that carries both brands but I don't know too many Charlotte area dealers anyway. We got out Cyclone at RV Outlet but they don't carry Voltage.

2. Do y'all race those bikes?

Well it's a done deal - thanks for all the feedback, we went with the 2014 Voltage 3895.
After spending about 4.5 hours with both units side by side the choice became pretty clear. The few things that had kept the Cyclone in the running were ultimately over ruled by the benefits of the Voltage...
Not really knocking the Cyclone because I do think it is a good coach on the front end, I think the Voltage has better long term potential.

Our 3800 has performed well and the large couch is a great feature, so much better that the dinette options. It is comfortable for us and I am 6'.
