This is what we use
, well the wife does. We fulltime and this machine serves our purpose; no laundromat, saves money and no loss of space. I built a pvc laundry rack for the outside ladder and if in a campground that has a problem w/ hanging cloths from the ladder I put in the shower the heavy duty command hooks which I modified to accept a thin laundry line. Size and weight are good also. About 2ft High by 2ft Wide by 14 inches Deep and weighs in at 28 lbs approx. WE have a king bed and wife does 1 sheet and 2 pillowcases or about 4 or 5 tee shirts (mens large) or 1 pair of her jeans size 8-10 and 2 or 3 medium tops as a guide to load size. Retired and not in any hurry!
I have a Couple of Questions. How do you rinse your Clothes in the Panda Washer? Does it have a drain Hose? Also where does the Water go in the Spin Dryer? Does it also have a drain Hose?
All depends were u put it; we 1st had it in the closet and I jury rigged it to the laundry hook-ups (it has a drain hose). We used it for a few weeks by putting it in the shower, and it's latest and final spot is by the entry door where we have it set up as an display table by leveling the top w/ a cookie sheet and small table cloth which sits a lamp, coasters and grandbabies pictures.
Since we have it near the kitchen, we fill the washing side right from the pull out spigot, u wash, drain, rinse, then spin dry, but if ur counting pennies,u can wash everything starting with ur cleanest stuff and save the water by washing, spin, put to the side, then empty tub and fill with clean water and rinse, spin dry and hang cloths. The drain hose is hooked right to the faucet and drains into the sink basin, the spin dry side also uses the drain hose. wash cycle takes about 3 mins same with rinse and spin dry and the amount of laundry detergent used phenomenal = 1 teaspoon per load! go to youtube to see it in action. AlaskaGranny has a good video.
