I went with the ventless Splendid model 7100 for 3 reasons.
#1 the vented models have poor reviews when compared to the ventless models.
#2 on my unit the washer dryer hookup is not next to a outside wall which would require a long run of vent tubing.
#3 cutting a hole in an exterior wall and installing a vent would void the warranty on the unit according to Keystone. They claimed it violated the "structural integrity of the unit, therefore they would deny any and all warranty claims.
When moisture in the garage area or excessive water usage is a concern, we simply dry the clothes outside when boondocking.
