Water Gauge

How many people would like to have a gauge that told you how much water you had pumped out of your fresh water tank? The factory take gauges are worthless and I would love to know exactly where i was at in my capacity.

  • I would like to have better gauges. There's no reason, other than cost, that the tanks couldn't have better, more accurate, instrumentation.
  • My fresh water gauge is dead on. It's the black and grays that are useless for me.
  • I've never had a problem with my factory gauge.
When it hits empty, I still have some left.... good enough for me!!!!
  • Snowbirding neighbor picked one up at Q last winter. It was a flow meter type thing. It worked OK when he was playing with it but only tempory mounted. With his plumbing and wires he had it wired near his pump. But to be real useful gadget he was going to install the meter where he could read it in his kitchen where other sensors and gauges were. And that was where he ran into problems, running the wires from pump to meter. Good idea but running the wiring takes some thought. His ran from zero and up and could also run backards from where he calibrated "full" for his size of tank and run to zero. If I remember right it was around $100.00 and manufacture was around Las Vegas selling from a web site and at RV type shows.
  • My fresh water tank gauge seems to work okay. But what I have found to be of value is watching (while timing) the gauge as I am filling the tank. Because it doesn't switch from 1/3 to 2/3 at exactly 1/2 full. It gives me a better picture of when the lights start going out when draining.
