Water tank fitting leaking

The fitting where my pump attaches to the fresh water tank is leaking. Its a little weird because it only seems to leak when the fresh tank is really full. When it is real full, I can see the water bead up at the point where the fitting that is inserted into the tank turns 90 degrees and creates a fitting for the water. I've pumped out some of the water (still shows full on the meter) and the leak has slowed down. When filling the tank, it didn't leak until it was real full.

In my pic the greenish looking part is leaking and it seems to be doing so right at the 90 degree bend on the bottom of it. The white stuff that looks to be dripping is some sort of glue and, while the glue isn't dripping, water is running over the glue and dripping off a little further to the side of it...you can see the water drop in my pic.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Can I remove the greenish part somehow and replace it with a new one (and sealer)?

Thanks!

Even though it's leaking, Is the fitting still tight to the tank?

The tank will leak more as it fills up because the pressure inside the tank increases as it fills up
Every 2.31 ft of water will creat a pressure of 1 psi

If just patching the leak was my intent
    I would drain the tank
clean and dry the fitting area
Apply a 2 part water proofing epoxy/sealant around the fitting/tank area
