Wave 3 Propane Heater

We have a 2008 18LT Work and Play. Would like to install a Wave 3 propane heater and wall mount it next to the stove/refrigerator at the entry on right. This location is close the 3 burner cook top and could provide access to gas. Can the gas line leading to the cook top regulator be cut and tee'd to supply the Wave 3. Not sure about the flares required to the gas line to connect to a tee for regulated feed to the Wave 3. thanks.
  • I have had different units over the years with the 3, 6, and 8 that I installed. The way you mentioned would work fine, but don't put it in an area that you have to stand in front of, they put out a lot of heat. Crack a vent or window open, I have never had a CO problem in many years of camping with one. No noise or electrical waste. If worried, you can go to the Cat heater they have shown.

I always thought these google photos showing how one was added to a cabinet door was pretty neat. This unit is also vented to the outside.

The propane line feeding the door mounted unit must be flexible I guess... This one is a CAT 5 I think I read...

I don't think I would add one of these inside the trailer unless it was vented to the outside...

I also wonder how much water is generated with one of these. The MR BUDDY Propane heaters puts off a ton of water when being used. I always sit mine in one of those large metal Coleman nonstick griddle trays and dump the water ever so often when being used in my OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer...
