Dtank, the OP has a whopping 12 post and has not been back since the post. I guess he is our new self-proclaimed weight expert.
Ken
(IMO) The 12 posts by the Tank.
The "self proclaimed weight experts" are in the link he posted..:S
CB - yep - but not limited to the TV forum.
If you can't beat 'em - - why should the 12 post OP join 'em?..:W
Must be due to the obvious "know-it-alls" regularly spewing drivel as the *genuine* self-proclaimed "weight experts" in the entertaining link provided.
Not enough truck - towing 5th wheels - here.
Too much truck - towing 5th wheels - there.
Reversal? - Contrarian? - Whatever.....just more of the WP..:(

Yep, getting to be more tow vehicle posts in the fifth wheel section than there are fifth wheel posts. They never seem to get moved to the tow vehicle section, which I never enter because it's the same old argumentive BS. Guess if ya can't lick em join em. - TXicemanExplorer IIDtank, the OP has a whopping 12 post and has not been back since the post. I guess he is our new self-proclaimed weight expert.

- Water-BugExplorer IIIt's all about "If you aren't like me, something is wrong." Over-weight, under-weight, you just aren't conforming to my standerds. What is wrong with you? ( It can't be me.)

I will say that was an interesting forum post with comments. I'm a firm believer in "you can never have too much truck!" I remember when we still had our PUP and we sold our mini-van and got the 1500 Chevy Suburban. I WELL remember the odd-ball looks we got when we pulled into some campgrounds pulling the PUP with that Suburban. I always thought it would be super great to see an HDT type of truck towing a T@B tear drop! That's would be priceless!
Right on, "DuchmenSport"!! And......
IMO - good thread, "DTank"!
Obviously some posters see the irony - some don't.
As in some get it - while it went over other's heads..:W
Interesting - the WP are trying to "redirect" the owner's choice (too much TV) is a gal. She *must* be clueless, huh?.:S
The posters living in glass houses are happy throwing rocks in this thread also, ROTFL.
"Weight Police is in trouble now"
Ahhhhh - guess it's not really about "weight" - or is it?..:@
~ - happycamper1942ExplorerMy thoughts are, if you are going to invest big dollars in a truck, get the biggest you can afford, even though it might be more tuuck than you need now. That way, if you ever want to get a bigger, heavier 5th wheel, you will still have the truck to handle it.
I tow a 8600 lb fiver with an F350 diesel, knowing that I can upgrade safely if and when I want, and who cares what the critics think - NC_HaulerExplorer
