Well, i appreciate all responses to my post. I dont believe everything i read on the internet, but im new to rving and if you believe that my questions are too stupid to ask then i ask that you move on to the next thread and not impede my search for information to keep me, my family, and others on the road safe by making sure i am not overloading or not having enough truck.
I am a truck driver, i know state and federal weight limits, bridge laws by state, and have probably been thru that illinoise scale a dozen times. Since ive been driving a truck, i have never been ticketed or even pulled in for weight limits. Thats a very hard thing to say when every shipper does their best to overload you.
So, my impression is, if i pull a 13k 5ver with a 3/4 ton dodge, ill probably be ok. However, just because i can, doesnt mean i should.
Thanks to everyone that posted.
