weight police?
Anyone ever get pulled over for too heavy a load? What was the outcome?

Never been stopped or know of any of our RVing friends that have been stopped for being overweight or checked. Know of no lawsuits either......
Usually the State Police etc are looking for the gross heavy commercial offenders like a log truck that damages the roads.........
Usually it will be a commercial issue, even for lawsuits going after deep pockets....
A little hard to determine actual weight for a RV that is spread all over the highway and the weight stickers usually fade out after a couple years.
Everything is on a case by case basis a lady crossed the median on a 4 lane highway last week, hit a car head on killed the other driver, and she was charged for reckless driving........... which is a common charge in Virginia.......
