Did you see OP? Just curious, as you have only made several assumptions yourself.
As asked earlier by another. have you been to a CAT scale? Do you have all your weights?
If you "buy into" manufacturers recommended tow ratings...you haven't done the math. MOST don't work...IF they state I can tow an 11,400# 5er which COULD have a pin weight of 2200# easily...add family, fuel, 5er hitch, anything else you tow, I'd REALLY want to know what weights the 1/2 ton trucks tires and rear axle can handle....not even talking drive train or tranny at this point...
