Plenty of "us" are towing considerably more than 10K with SRW pickups - and have been doing so -safely- for a lot of years and miles.
Obvious "mega weight" trailers should be towed with a MDT, HDT, or a dually pickup.......but there is no "magic number".
Common sense (and research) helps a lot.
