Just remember that what you plan and what actually happens may be two different things. I retired a year ago June at 55 with the intention of flipping our travel schedule -- travel winters and stay home summers. A lot of people I worked with retired and found out they had various health issues, and I was NOT going to have that happen to me. I was getting out while still young enough to enjoy retirement! In late August, I got a diagnosis of breast cancer, which I've been battling for almost a year now. Life is too short and unexpected, so do what you LOVE the most, whether that means working, spending time with family, camping, whatever.
