So I walk into my bedroom and step on the carpet, and Ack! Wet foot! Huh?I know I made it to the bathroom the night before! :BBig wet spot on the floor. First thing I do is look up to see whats there. A speaker. Hmmmm. and I look closer and there is water dripping out of the speaker, not much but it is there. But only one speaker. Not all 4, or anything else, just the one speaker.What the heck is with that? My music is not that boring that it should make my speaker cry....All I can think of is that with living in the TT here in freezing temps for nearly a month, that the moist air in here has collected up there. I have not got anything open for ventilation,aside from opening the FF in the bathroom when I use the shower, if I can. It is frozen shut most of the time. But why only one speaker?This was about a week ago, it happened the one time and has not happened since. Got me scratching my head.Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmm........

Hey Bob,I thought this was supposed to be the "boring" day of camping.:WI would bet that it is a condensation issue. If you pull the speaker, you may find a direct path to the outer skin of the TT. I'm sure you know the cure.

Well you clearly have a leak somewhere.. Candidates include the air conditioner if it's nearby and the roof, Now here is the rub.Roof leaks can be several feet from where they drip down inside the house. Be it a stick and brick, or a house on wheels, they can be several feet away. Following joists, rafters, conduit and so on to a handy drip on the floor spot.

My "Speaker Leaker" was caused by a small leak in the calk around the entrance hole for the television cable. The lowest point in the ceiling nearby was the speaker housing.

If the 'leak' happened during a sudden thaw, the simple solution would be to move furtherNORTH. Keep things frozen.

I've always worried about my OUTSIDE SPEAKER install on my OFF-RoAD POPUP camper.They are OUTDOOR type speakers and sound great to me. Bothers me to almost see daylight coming thru plastic cone material. No water leaks that I have noticed. I did finally build-up a box on the inside cabinet to cover the spearker mounts. Roy Ken

Wow, major cold temps for sure. Have you pulled the speaker and peaked up in there? Should be easy to tell if it is a true leak or condensation.

Yes, condensation can leak that much. However, everything would be sweating like crazy, IMO. Pretty unusual for one spot to get that much condensate.

I would probably look at getting a bucket of descicant, at the very least.

At the most, I'd pull that speaker and start investigating to see whats up. Very impressive you are keeping everything running on one 15a outlet.

If so get a dehumidifier. I use one, and it works great. I can close the TT up tight, and the dehumidifier actually kicks out a little extra heat while it is doing it's primary job... Of course it may be a little late for it now. The damage is likely already done.

I have one 15A circuit only to run everything. I'm lucky it is a strong one. 1500W heater, a heat tape and my converter all running off the circuit. Haven't tripped it yet.

Supposed to drop to -33C (-27F) tomorrow. Should be interesting....

Well, I would open some holes up and get the air flowing, but when it is so cold out, it is hard to do.
Open a window or roof vent and in 20 minutes it has dropped ten degrees in here and the furnace runs full tilt!

I know I need ventilation, I know I need a window and vent open, but I just can't. It's hard enough to keep the place warm.

Now if I had 3 shore power hookups like PianoTuna then I wouldn't be so concerned about a little heat loss!!

It absolutely can be condensation. Read the OP again. If you have ever used your TT in freezing weather for any length of time, you will need to take steps to minimize condensation. The OP is doing everything wrong in this regard.

Of course there Could be another leak, but it's not likely as the tempertures are so cold as to freeze the vent covers shut.
Ice doesn't leak.

I'll agree. Enough water to make the carpet wet is not condensation.

I, also, had a loose air conditioner. I tightened the bolts holding it down to compress the gasket about 1/4 inch and my leaks stopped.

I had a speaker leak and found the 4 mounting bolts for the roof air were loose so I could turn them with my fingers. Tightened them up to compress the gasket and so far have had no repeat (but then we've had a significant drought in CA) but no leaks through 3 rains.
