It's amazing how quickly plans can change...We both retired from our "real" jobs almost 10 years ago and hit the road with only our measly retirements. Didn't take long to realize we needed to generate income or go sit still somewhere.
For six years we ran our own business that took us all over the country...when that stopped being lucrative, we found a job doing gas line leak surveys which paid us to travel to different locations on their dime while earning a salary, and now we are doing private security...the travel is considerably less, but we have less than two years to SS and the "plan" is to completely retire at that time and finally do the traveling we invisioned....we'll see how that plan pans out!! At least we have managed to stay on the road and continue to be full timers.
