Thanks for the sympathy and advice. I had it in low 4 wheel drive but it doesn't work too well when both sets of wheels are buried a foot in mud. There are not RV parks in Sedalia, MO so I am in a Mobile Home park. There is 8 foot of wet ground with grass before you get to the gravel site. I got the trailer wheels up on the site, but couldn't get the truck up there. After I got it pulled out, my critic wanted me to back it back into the same place and disconnect the trailer leaving landing gear on the front of the site. Then pull out and leave the trailer there until a dry day. I didn't want to put my wheels back into the holes I just got pulled out of. Yes it would be easier to pull out without the weight of the trailer but if I got it lined up and going in, I wasn't going to stop in the holes. I wanted to go for all or nothing. Every time I got out to see where I was, I forgot whether I was jacking or chasing. I talked to the Mobile Home park owner and he is going to put gravel to the street. I like the information about jack and chase, but I have been trying to teach my wife left and right for 25 years so I don't know if I have time to teach her jack and chase before I try to back in again. I never used those terms, but the concepts are the same as with a trailer. They just don't work the same with the different pivot point. The way I learned to back a trailer was by watching other people mess it up. It is like playing chess. It is easier to watch and see the mistakes than to be the one playing the game. I need to watch pros do it to see where do the start to jack and chase to hit the site.
