Went to look today and bought a New one!

My wife and I rode with my sister-in-law to a couple Rv dealers today and ended up at Beckleys Camping Center in Thurmont, MD. I'd been looking at the Keystone Mountaineer 356TBF for some time now but also had my eye on the Columbus 385bh that I also walked thru today.

After seeing them both we went with the Mountaimeer..... For about the same money it had (what the Columbus didn't) king bed, 6 point level, wood floor, Mor-Ryde pin box.... The Columbus had pocket doors that once I got to use them seemed very cheap and easy for kids to break. Hope to go back and pick it up next week!

Beckleys so far a big thumbs up!

  • I have owned a 2003, 2006 and a 2010 Montana with minimal problems. Traded the 2010 Montana for a pretty full body paint Heartland Landmark and it was a Lemon. Had more problems with it than the other 5 RVs put together. Last weekend I picked up my 2015 Montana 3611RL Legacy that we ordered. I am a Happy Camper.
  • Thanks, hope to go get it next week, the dealer is about 1.5 hours away and yes we might have to do a night in the driveway!
  • Yea i know the feeling. Wife saw an Itasca motorhome on the internet and then we looked at some when we were in Texas . . . Guess what . . . I go to Michigan in a few weeks to pick it up. They wouldn' give me a good deal down here like up there. I guess they want to move them up where it is cold.
  • Contrats! Now let me guess where your first camp night will be, hmmmm out in the driveway with the kids. :) have fun!!!
  • Congratulations, nice choice. Our first fifth wheel was a Montana Mountaineer, it served us well.

You're going to love love that level up system! We have 6 point now but I was jealous of those that did when we had the Mountaineer.

Last two trailers we've owned have had the MorRyde pinbox, a world of difference between that style and the "fixed" kind.

    Happy camping
