What about this offer?

My DH and I were looking at a 2015 Refection 337 RLS at a Dealer in a nearby city. We told them what we had to trade but told them we were just looking. Have just been home about an hour and they call and give us a price of $31,325.00 and that is with our trade. now our TT is a 2011 and they offered us 2000 less than we paid for it. We are happy with that but just wondering what other Reflection owners think of price. Good or should we try and get lower. Thanks Tara

  • thanks everyone! MSRP on this is listed 59339.00 but we will not go for first offer and we found another dealer with same unit so going to do some negotiating. Thanks again!
  • Do a Google search, I found this in ref to the unit you're looking at:
Base MSRP for this Model (no options): $47,618, with most running in the mid 50s depending on options.
  • Counter with $27500 plus taxes and licensing fees and any other legitimate government fees but including any dealer fees such as documentation fee, pre-delivery inspection fee, etc. You won't buy it for that but it gives a starting point for negotiations. Even though the dealer will probably tell you they can't go lower, that first offer is not their lowest.
  • Tara....I am not a Reflections owner, but my husband and I just went through a trade-in: our 2013 TT for a 5ver.

First, allow me to say that the dealers are not going to lose money.
You got a great trade-in, but I am thinking the price for the new one may be on the high side. If you got them to lower the price on the new model by a few thousand dollars, I am willing to bet that your trade-in would not be as high.

In my situation, I put an offer on the 5ver, which was a few thousand less than what was listed. Soooo, our TT trade-in allowance was about $5,000 less than we paid for new.

Dealerships have their bottom line price. Since the salesperson already made an offer on your trade, I would see if I could get a lower price on the new model and see what happens. IMO, it is worth a try.
