- Dave6tn1Explorer1L243...I see you have a metal car port cover for your rig. I'm considering this for mine...what size car port you have and what did they charge you for it?
The lights look nice. That's actually a really neat idea.

- xaugievikeExplorerPicked it up!
- 1L243Explorer III did a couple of things today. I added a switch inside the Toy Hauler that will allow me to turn on all the outside marking lights when not connected to the truck. I thought If I was parked in a pretty dark place it would be nice to light the TH up. I got a lighted switch. Ran power from the switch to the fuse panel, grounded the switch and finally ran the load wire to the hot side of the marker light.

I also added some more Led lighting the inside of the TH. I am about 50/50 now. I do a lot of dry camping so I think this will come in handy. And it's nice that Camping World has them on sale at about 50% off. They are a double 36 diode led with a double throw switch. So you can have one or both sides on. - mhamershockExplorerAdded an ATS and a 2 gallon pressure tank. Today I will insulate under the bed area with rigid foam and luan to dress it up. Will use the unit next weekend for the 1st real trip. 2012 Attitude L27CBG.

I just completed my first trip with it and I am beyond happy. Thrown my back out several times retrieving objects from the middle of the cavernous storage area that our Rage'ns have. This was a treat, heavy tools and genny in the middle, slid all the way out at waste height & voilà! , very nice and it slides out both sides. You lose about 3 inches of vertical storage and you have to be aware of the stink trap as it becomes a target for the moving items on the slide.
Drawback, it’s heavy, about 150# onto your pin weight but I have plenty of capacity there so no biggie.
There is a hidden benefit to the slide, the area on the left and right of the slide between the slide and walls becomes its own protected compartment for shovels, whips, folding tables, cattle prods, shotguns, harpoons, lightning rods, RPG’s and small rockets... whatever you are into that is under 8' long and 4-6" wide goes there and stays there. There’s also storage under the slide for crank handles, awning hooks, hoses, fireplace tools... anything under 2" tall can be secured under the slide with compression or spring hooks. What the slide consumes in space it gives back in spades.
Very happy with it even if I had paid $800, I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
Thanks for the feedback, now it's definitely on my list for all the reasons you mention. When I store my trailer I cannot get to anything on the passenger side, its up against the house. Access inside is via the ramp and if I need to get to that side of the storage I'm screwed.
