We dewinterized and camped last weekend at our property. We built our storage building a few years ago on some acreage we own and use it like a vacation home when we aren't traveling. - RazorKQExplorerI dewinterized, put cover over my vent and setup my new to me truck to pull the trailer. I am ready! :B

Not exactly to the TH but for the TH. Cut in and installed a 14 ft high and 16 wide do in the shop so I can drive in and park with out a huge 6 man spotting fork lift maneuver.
I hate you people with indoor storage!
I guess in Cali you folks dont have to winterize or worry about snow on the roof. My work is in not the greatist part of town even behind 8' fence topped with barbed wired its not that secure. - naytherExplorer

- 1L243Explorer III just wanted to ad something to my second AC install. The second AC only had four screws holding the shroud on. My other AC had about twice that. I orderd more screws from dometic. When I was up on the roof of the TH I noticed that a bolt head on the bottom of the AC chassis was touching the roof. This did not look quite right. When I torque the AC down per instructions 40 to 50 inch pounds I did not think that it was over torque.

The gasket that came with the (used) second AC look ok so I did not replace it. But it had to be the gasket material, so I orderd a new one. I replaced the gasket and stabilizing blocks. Now the screw heads are well above the roof (torque to 45 in lbs)
Here are the two gasket materials, new on left old on right. You can see how compessed the old gasket had become.
My advise, just replace the gasket in the first place. - BobWandererExplorer
