I built some carpeted shelves for the front compartment to cover exposed power terminals/cables. Storage in this model is at a premium, so you have to be organized!
Deka AGM 8D'S - mikakujaExplorerWas a nice day today so I went up on the roof and inspected it, found a few cracks in the lap sealant on the front trim so I resealed it. Fired up the fridge furnace and let things run for a while.
I bought an Xantrex 1000w inverter last week so I also spent about an hour deciding where I am going to mount it. Dug through my garage and amazingly enough I had pretty much everything I need for the install except a length of shielded wire to run from the inverter to the power transfer switch. I'll post some pic's of the install once it is all hooked up... - bkirkpatrickExplorerSpent the weekend at Ocotillo watching my generator run for 10 minutes at a time and then shut off and then throw error codes. I am convinced that the Onan 5500 is the biggest P.O.S. out there next to Ford's 6.0 diesel engine.

- Crazy_CooterExplorerYep, sit right on top. I have been putting stuff on top of them for the past year and a half with no indication of case deforming. Just now may something wont short the cables in transit?
The cases are pretty thick. - jetboater454ExplorerNice shelves over the batteries, but do they actually sit on the batteries? Seems like a lot of weight with the water bottles there.
- Crazy_CooterExplorerAlmost forgot the shelf I built for the satellite box below in the A/V cabinet. Now I can leave it there while in transit:
