We did sell our home and everything in it and started Rving full time. Decided to look for a retirement area and then buy another house in a year or so. That was 6 years ago. We now can't imagine waking every day to the same view, maintaining a yard, paying property taxes, electric bills etc. etc. When we are too old to pull this RV around we will rent. Why buy a house during your old age? You don't really need to build up equity. We feel we did our kids a big favor getting rid of all that "stuff" in the garage that only meant something to us. Believe it or not, they didn't want a thing when we sold out. This life is not for everyone. Many people are very attached to their possessions. However, for us it is liberating and a wonderful way to see as much of this country as we can, while we still can.
