What do you think about this tongue reinforcement?

I have a 2007 Weekend Warrior 26' Superlite It has the 3/16" tongue metal It doesn't have any issues yet but my buggy is pretty heavy so I decided to reinforce some stuff I searched the web and...

I like the lateral spring hanger support in the first post, not thought about doing it that way but looks like it should be effective.
