We are on our 3rd Excel. Built strong and heavy. They have always made their frames in house. Made for FT living. They have issues just like all of RV Industry has. Excel does a pretty good job of handling service issues. Hard to keep something bouncing up down the roads in one piece! Go out and spend some time in the Excel owner's group to find out more.
