Not sure why they are calling to replace the J Wrap to adjust the baggage doors, you would think that could be solved by removing and reinstalling the doors correctly.
Interesting times for the RV business for sure. The industry has always struggled with quality issues, largely because RV ownership competes with many other outlets for our leisure dollars. Highly elastic demand has kept pressure on the industry to build units to a price point, not to the highest quality standards. Most of the manufacturers still pay their line staff on a piecemeal basis, so there is tremendous pressure to move units through the build process quickly.
The pandemic has brought the RV business to record sales levels, and at the end of 2020 industry execs were are talking about the Golden Egg of all the new camping customers, in a desirably young demographic, that had been delivered to their doorstep. Industry leaders in every segment echoed the call that the industry must work together to WOW these new campers and make them lifetime RVers.
The irony is that demand for RVs was so strong, but factories struggled to get both parts and workers, and when they had both they needed to move units out the door fast. The resulting drop in quality has had the opposite effect, alienating many customers to the experience of owning an RV, Mondooker here is a case in point.
