We're looking to upgrade from the camper to a 5er and I saw this post on another group and found it very informative.
We are looking for a rear kitchen model because if we're watching a movie we don't want to look through the kitchen or the dinette not to mention you get twice as much counter space and seemingly more kitchen cabinet space.
We are contemplating a mid kitchen on units with rear living but what is the goofy things you've seen or experienced on your rig?

About the only dumb thing we've experienced is not having fridge access with the slides in. We tried to think of everything before we purchased, but just never thought about this one thing 'til we got home and brought the slides in. But one of my pet peeves- and it sounds like you guys have already thought of it- is the TV thing. We DID NOT want to be looking through the kitchen to the TV. But we didn't want a rear kitchen either, cause we wanted the big rear and side windows. So our floor plan fit the bill. Another brand that fit the bill was the Keystone Laredo 266RL, but we thought the Rockwood was just a much better unit- for us anyway. Another dumb thing I just thought of- we didn't want the toilet across the hall from the shower and sink; preferred it all in one bathroom. One more dumb thing. I wish they would have put an end table on each side of the bed instead of just one side.
